Caption Splitter

Paste your narration and get it broken into short caption cards that read cleanly inside a vertical safe zone — up to two lines each, within a character budget, never splitting a word.

Runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded, no account needed.

FAQ

Common questions

Why split captions at all?

Long caption lines overflow the vertical safe zone and get cut off or covered by the UI. Short two-line cards stay readable and on-screen on every phone.

Will it break words in half?

Never. It wraps only on word boundaries. A single word longer than your budget is kept whole rather than chopped.

What character limit should I use?

Around 40 characters per line is a safe default for 9:16. Tighten it if your caption font is large or you keep captions low in the frame.
